Music and the Civil Rights

1. How did music affect the Civil Rights movement?

During the Civil Rights Movement, people used music as a way to spread their word and how they felt being discarded from places and by people.

2. Why was music such a powerful force?

Music has an effect on people not much different from words. Many people are able to sing their minds and aren't able to talk about it to another. Music is a way of expressing one's self.
